Indian troops kill two in Kashmir

SRINAGAR, Dec 6: Indian troops on Tuesday shot dead two militants near LoC, the Indian army said. “The two were killed when they were trying to cross into Azad Kashmir,” Indian army spokesman Vijay Batra said.

“When challenged and asked to surrender, the militants opened fire. The fire was returned and in the ensuing gunfight two of them were killed,” he said. Mr Batra said the incident took place in the Kamalkote area along the LoC.—AFP
