TOBA TEK SINGH: City police have arrested two drug peddlers and recovered from their custody 17 kilograms of hashish.

Saddar DSP Syed Asif Shah told the media on Monday that police on a tip-off stopped a car near Toba Khikha Road railway level crossing and during a search recovered 10kg hashish. Police impounded the car and arrested driver Usama Shahid of Chak 388-JB.

Police also arrested another man identified as Imran of Awami Basti and recovered from his custody seven kilo hashish. The DSP said both the suspects were bringing narcotics from Balochistan for sale in different districts.

INJURED: Four workers were injured on Monday at Faisalabad when a mills’ bus overturned near Chak 77-GB on Jaranwala Road at Khurrianlwala area.

They were rushed to social security hospital at Khurrianlwala.

The injured have been identified as Sultan (42), Rafiq (45), Asif (55) and Zeeshan (55).
