RAHIM YAR KHAN: Two men were burnt alive in a road accident, while three others suffered burns in a fire erupting at an oil agency in the district on Friday.

In the first incident, two residents of Kashmore were returning home from Rahim Yar Khan by their car when it collided with a trailer near Murid Shakh interchange on Sukkur-Multan Motorway (M-5).

After the accident, the car caught fire in no time and both men inside it were burnt alive.

Their bodies were shifted to Sadiqabad Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, where they were later identified as Sosheel Kumar and Sanjay Kumar.

Motorway police handed over the bodies of the deceased to their families.

Three suffer burns in oil agency blaze

In the other incident, a fire broke out at an oil agency on Karachi-Lahore-Peshawar (KLP) road near Taranda Muhammad Pannah, some 90kms from here on Friday.

Reports said that an oil tanker was discharging diesel into the tank at the oil agency owned by one Amin Shah, when suddenly a fire broke out there.

As a result, a driver and two employees suffered burns. They were immediately shifted to the Bahawal Victoria Hospital, Bahawalpur, for treatment.

The fire was later controlled after more than two-hour long efforts by the local fire-brigade. Rescue 1122 was not informed about the incident.
