KARACHI: Taking notice of a video showing alleged deer hunting somewhere in Sindh, the wildlife department on Thursday constituted a three-member team to hold an inquiry into the matter.
The video had recently gone viral on social media platforms.
According to the Wildlife notification, the team consists of game officer Ashfaque Ali Memon, inspector Naeem Muhammad Khan and inspector Muhammad Azeem Kachelo, It would investigate “the hunting of two Chinkara deer by one named Antesaruddin, reportedly a resident of Karachi”, it said.
Sources said the team had been tasked to get forensic analysis of the video, find particulars of Antesaruddin and record his statement, determine the place of offence, visit and collect evidence and initiate criminal proceedings, if hunter found guilty.
The team would submit the report to the department within 10 days.
