LAHORE: A young man was electrocuted when he was flying a kite with a metallic string in the Makhanpura locality of Shadbagh.

Identified as Khurram (20), the man died on the way to hospital, a police official said.

Sharing details, he said the man was flying a kite with the metallic string and as the kite fell on the high voltage wires of the street, he received multiple shocks.

The neighbours who were witnessing the scene immediately alerted Khurram’s family and called Rescue 1122 but efforts to save his life proved futile.
