KARACHI: Pakistan Navy Flotilla comprising Pakistan Navy’s ship Shamsheer and Azmat along with Pakistan Maritime Security Agency’s ship Kolachi visited Abu Dhabi recently.

Upon arrival at the port Mina Zayed, the Pakistan Navy contingent was received by the Defence Attaché of Pakistan at Abu Dhabi with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) naval officials.

During their stay at the port, the mission commander and the commanding officers called on the chief of UAE naval forces, the commander of UAE coast guards and the director of Naval Operations of UAE naval forces.

During the interaction, matters of mutual interest were discussed and further enhancement of bilateral ties in all spheres was reaffirmed. The mission commander conveyed the good wishes from the Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Mohammed Amjad Khan Niazi for the people of UAE and the UAE Navy.

After the complete port visit, the Pakistan Navy ships conducted a bilateral passage exercise with the UAE Navy ships Baynunah and Dhafra to enhance interoperability between the two naval forces. The visit provided an opportunity for both brotherly countries to further enhance their diplomatic ties and cordial relations.
