TOBA TEK SINGH: Seeing which way the wind is blowing, PTI MPA Bilal Asghar Warraich who has joined the Tareen group to back Hamza has a history of shifting loyalties.

He was defeated as an independent candidate in 2018 general election by his brother Khalid Javed Warraich, a PML-N candidate who simultaneously won NA and PA seats.

When Khalid Javed Warraich retained the NA seat and left the PA seat, Bilal ran for it again as an independent but with the PML-N support. Under an agreement, PML-N ticket holder Mansoor Bhangoo was also withdrawn. After winning the seat, Bilal took no time in joining the PTI.

Once the Jehangir Tareen group was formed, Bilal joined it but soon left it after he was made special assistant to CM by Sardar Usman Buzdar.

On March 26, when Prime Minister Imran Khan came to Kamalia to address a public meeting, Bilal led a rally of PTI activists from Gojra to Kamalia but he changed his loyalty again and rejoined the Tareen group to support Hamza.
