KARACHI: The State Bank of Pakistan on Friday announced the timings to be observed by banks during the holy month of Ramazan.

The central bank said these timings will be followed by all banks, development finance institutions and microfinance banks.

According to the announcement, the timings from Monday to Thursday will be from 10am to 4pm with a prayer break from 2pm to 2:15pm, whereas on Fridays office hours will be from 10am to 1pm without break.

“However, it is further advised to observe the following minimum business (banking) hours for public dealing,” said the SBP. Monday to Thursday: from 10am to 1:30pm without break whereas on Fridays business (banking) hours for public dealing will be from 10am to 1pm without break.

However, except for Fridays, banks and microfinance banks may observe extended business hours for public dealing from 10am to 3pm (with 15-minute prayer break) as per their business requirements.
