QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Abdul Qudoos Bizenjo said on Thursday that protection of lives and property of people was the prime responsibility of the government. He said efforts were being made to improve law and order situation in the province.

He expressed these views while chairing a high-level review meeting on law and order situation in the province.

The meeting was attended by Adviser on Home Mir Ziaullah Langu, Chief Secretary Mathar Niaz Rana and officials of police, FC and intelligence.

The meeting was briefed on the security situation and measures being taken by the government in this regard.

Speaking during the meeting, the chief minister said the security forces were fully capable of dealing with terrorism. He said some plans of attack recently foiled by the security forces in Nushki and Turbat districts were commendable.

CM Bizenjo directed security agencies to remain vigilant and ready to deal effectively with any untoward situation, saying that regular meetings of the divisional and district coordination committees should be held.
