HYDERABAD: Adviser to the Sindh chief minister on agriculture Manzoor Hussain Wassan has said that some political parties are simultaneously talking to the federal government as well as the opposition parties only to increase their weight and raise profile.

After addressing a programme held to distribute combined harvesters among 12 farmers at the agriculture engineering works department of Tandojam on Thursday, he told reporters that all important decisions would be taken before March 28.

He did not foresee one million people gathering to block all thoroughfares in Islamabad.

It was ridiculous to say that the Sindh government had ‘locked’ up MNAs and added that had it been done, families of the lawmakers would have lodged complaints about their kidnapping, he said.

He said that it was not the Pakistan Peoples Party’s (PPP) fault that Imran’s the colleagues were leaving him voluntarily.

He said that early elections could be held after a year. Democratic process would, however, continue, he said.

He said the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) had been partner of the PPP in the government. Some parties were talking to the government and opposition simultaneously only to raise their profile, he said.

Wassan said he thought that there might be no need of no-confidence motion because everything would be settled before that day. Without ruling out formation of a national government, he said it would be a good thing if it happened, he said.
