Over 100 Khyber cops suspended

KHYBER: The district police officer has suspended 107 policemen in Landi Kotal for their continued absence from duty.

A statement issued from DPO office in Shah Kas here on Saturday said that salaries of the suspended policemen were also withheld and they were asked to report to Shah Kas centre in seven days.

The statement said that the suspended policemen were issued several notices prior to their suspension and the action was taken only when they failed to respond to the notices.

The suspended policemen were warned of termination from service if they failed to explain their position in the given time.
