Erratic power supply

Published December 1, 2005

KARACHI, Nov 30: The Pakistan Tanners Association (PTA) has complained that its member units are getting erratic electric supply, which was affecting the production of leather and made-up units at the Korangi industrial area. In a statement issued on Wednesday, PTA Chairman M. Danish Khan said there was hardly any day for the last couple of months when electricity supply was not disrupted. He said despite repeated complaints, no authority came forward to resolve this issue.

Mr Khan called upon the KESC high-ups for the initiation of appropriate measures to check the current unsatisfactory supply position detrimental to the working of the industry.
