Multan facing defeat

LAHORE, Nov 29: Multan were facing a certain defeat after a fiery burst by medium-pacer Samiullah Niazi put Faisalabad in a commanding position in the Quaid-i-Azam Trophy Gold League match at Multan Cricket Stadium on Tuesday.

Sami took four for 42 as Multan collapsed to 171 for eight in the second innings having already conceded a 95-run lead on the first innings.

Earlier, former Test opener Mohammad Hafeez made 166 after resuming at his overnight score of 126.
