KARACHI: Two brothers and a student of Karachi University were killed in road traffic accidents in the city on Wednesday, police said.

They said Ayesha, 19, was on her way to the university on a motorbike along with her father when he suddenly applied the brakes. As a result, Ayesha fell from the motorbike and a water tanker coming from behind ran her over.

The driver fled, leaving behind the tanker that was seized by police.

In Korangi Industrial Area, two brothers — Baber Ali and Ahmer Ali — were riding a motorbike when apparently a fast-moving bus hit them near Vita Chowrangi. They fell on road and died.

The bus driver escaped from the scene, abandoning the vehicle. Police have impounded the vehicle.
