LAHORE: Lahore High Court (LHC) Chief Justice Muhammad Ameer Bhatti has constituted special benches for expeditious decisions of pending cases related to commercial and tax matters.

A press release issued by the media cell of the high court says that four single and three division benches would start hearing the cases from next week. It states that the chief justice believed that the tax and commercial matters involved precious money of the nation and they needed to be decided at the earliest.

The CJ urged all the stakeholders to show seriousness and warned that no undue adjournment would be allowed in these cases.

He asked the government departments to nominate senior officers for their representation before the special benches.
