LAHORE: Rain and thunderstorm in some parts of the city on Friday brought the mercury level down.

The wind kept blowing throughout the day. The met office had forecast rain in the provincial capital along with central and northern parts of the province on Saturday (today).

According to the Met Office, a rain-wind/thunderstorm with snow over hills is expected in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, upper Punjab, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan in the next 24 hours.

Cold and dry weather is expected elsewhere in the country.

Rain/thunderstorm (isolated hailstorm) is also expected in Rawalpindi, Attock, Jhelum, Chakwal, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Narowal, Sialkot, Mianwali, Khushab, Sargodha, Hafizabad, Faisalabad and Bhakkar while snow in Murree and Galiyat.
