350 capsules, 2.75kg heroin recovered

RAWALPINDI, Nov 28: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) on Monday seized 2.75kg heroin concealed within shoes and 350 heroin-filled capsules from the possession of six China-bound passengers at the Islamabad airport. The authorities said the ANF staff spotted six passengers of the China-bound flight (PK-852) acting suspiciously during check- in at the airport.

The passengers, who belonged to Bara Market, were taken into custody which led to the recovery of 2.75kg heroin concealed in their shoes.

The passengers revealed that they were also carrying heroin- filled capsules in their stomach.

The Anti-Narcotics Force said 230gram heroin was recovered from the shoes and 35 heroin-filled capsules from the stomach of Azmat Ali; 230 gram heroin was recovered from Anwar Bacha’s shoes while 38 heroin-filled capsules were retrieved from his stomach.
