Pakistan has reported 3,498 new coronavirus infections in the last 24 hours, down from 3,914 a day earlier, and 39 more fatalities.
The national positivity rate has fallen to 6 per cent from 7.1pc yesterday.
The countrywide breakdown is as follows:
- Sindh: 930 cases, 4 deaths
- Punjab: 989 cases, 24 deaths
- Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 941 cases, 5 deaths
- Balochistan: 29 cases
- Islamabad: 311 cases, 5 deaths
- Gilgit-Baltistan: 56 cases
- Azad Jammu and Kashmir: 242 cases, 1 death
