KARACHI: National champion Omar Khalid has jumped 82 places to 296th in the World Amateur Golf Rankings following his triumphs at the Pakistan Open and Chief of Air Staff Open in the last two weeks.
The 17-year-old sensation is 32nd in Asia and surpassed Salman Jahangir (354) as the highest-ranked golfer from Pakistan. He’s now among the top 10 golfers in the world who are 17 years and younger.
