Pakistan has reported 50 more deaths from coronavirus in the last 24 hours, the highest daily death toll since Feb 4 when 48 fatalities were recorded.
In addition, 4,253 new cases have been reported, up from 2,797 a day earlier, while the national positivity rate stands at 8.2 per cent.
The countrywide breakdown is as follows:
- Sindh: 900 cases, 21 deaths
- Punjab: 1,415 cases, 18 deaths
- Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 1,421 cases, 11 deaths
- Balochistan: 59 cases
- Islamabad: 174 cases
- Gilgit-Baltistan: 42 cases
- Azad Jammu and Kashmir: 242 cases
