LAHORE: Pakistan Army, Higher Education Commission, Wapda and Islamabad recorded big wins as the 16th National Women’s Baseball Championship began at the Jinnah Stadium in Gujranwala on Tuesday.

Islamabad were the biggest winners as they thrashed Balochistan 15-0 with Maryam, Ayesha, Sehrish, Rimsha, Chaman, Fakhra, Anam, Shameer and Mahur being their scorers.

HEC overwhelmed Sindh 14-0 with Waheeda, Tasmia, Aram Barkat, Manahel, Khuzri, Hadia and Ayesha were the chief scorers. Defending champions Army outclassed Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 12-0 with Fareeha Nayab, Zahida Ghani, Rashida, Atiya, Hadia and Madiha among their the key scorers.

WAPDA drafted a 10-0 victory against Police with Sidra, Zainab Riaz, Madiha, Ayesha and Umm Hani among the runs.
