Pakistan has detected 6,047 new coronavirus infections in the last 24 hours, up from 5,327 a day earlier, and 29 more fatalities.
The national positivity rate stands at 9.9 per cent, marking the second straight day it has remained below 10pc.
The countrywide breakdown is as follows:
- Sindh: 1,552 cases, 11 deaths
- Punjab: 1,895 cases, 9 deaths
- Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 1,441 cases, 7 deaths
- Balochistan: 84 cases
- Islamabad: 575 cases, 2 deaths
- Gilgit-Baltistan: 34 cases
- Azad Jammu and Kashmir: 466 cases
