Poll symbols allotted in Lakki Marwat

LAKKI MARWAT, Nov 25: Returning Officer Abdul Ghafoor Qureshi on Friday allotted election symbols to candidates contesting in the by-election for the (Lakki). After withdrawal of nomination papers by former federal minister Anwar Saifullah Khan and Nisar Ahmad Khan, nephew of ex-MNA Naseer Mohammad Khan Maidadkhel, 11 candidates are in the run for the seat.

The candidates and their election symbols are: Maulana Ahmad Ali Marwat of the Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal (book) Usman Saifullah Khan of the Pakistan Muslim League (bicycle) Salim Saifullah Khan (iron) Tariq Ahmad Khan (scooter), Zafarullah Khan (fan), Asmatullah Khan (scissors) Qismatullah Khan (jug), Burhanuddin (lock), Pir Dr Mohammad Khalid Raza Zakori (crescent), Munawar Khan (car) and Maulana Ghulam Fareed (tap).

Observers here are expecting a tough fight is expected between Maulana Ahmad Ali and Usman Saifullah.
