‘PPP to first move no-trust motion against NA speaker’

OKARA: The PPP will soon table a no-confidence motion against NA Speaker Asad Qaiser, instead of Prime Minister Imran Khan, said PPP MNA Syed Khurshid Shah here on Wednesday.

“We’re trying to unite all political parties against the PTI government.”

MNA Shah came to the town to offer condolence to provincial minister Syed Samsam Bokhari on the demise of his younger brother, Pir Meer Tayyab Ali Shah.

He said the ruling party used to have some control over financial matters, but this all had also become history after the SBP autonomy legislated on the directions of the IMF.

He said the PPP had contacted all political parties and would also invite the PDM to participate in the PPP long march on Feb 27. He said Mr Qaiser as the speaker had lowered the decorum of the NA.

He said after his release from jail, he was uniting all like-minded political parties on one-point agenda to oust the government for a better future of the country.

He said the Jamaat-i-Islami was a respected religiopolitical party, but it was on a sit-in opposing the PPP provincial government’s local council bill in Karachi but the JI under almost the same local government laws fought the local elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Similarly, it was astonishing as the PTI was protesting in Karachi against the laws which its own government introduced in KP.
