TOBA TEK SINGH: Lohri, a festival of Punjabis, was celebrated on Friday night (1st of desi month Magh), at Clock Tower Chowk’s Montgomery Bazaar in Faisalabad.

Hundreds of traders and political activists enjoyed the festival while sitting on chairs around bonfires. Bhanga (dance) and showering of currency notes was part of the festival.

Comrade Shahid Murshed, the organiser, told Dawn that it was a winter festival for which funds were raised by traders. Songs paying tribute to Dullah Bhatti were sung.
