Kidnapped woman recovered

NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, Nov 23: A woman, who had been kidnapped and sold for Rs50,000 was recovered by the Naushahro Feroze police after a raid near Rind Mori on Tuesday night. Reports said that Uzma alias Shazia of Faisalabad Green Town, had been kidnapped about seven months ago and allegedly sold by Wahid Bux of Kot Laloo in the Khairpur district.

Wahid is accused of keeping her in a room.

Later, she was shifted to a house near Rind Mori.

Shazia succeeded to make a friend during the detention and gave him the telephone number of her relatives to inform them about her whereabouts.

The relatives contacted the Sukkur RPO, Akbar Arain, who ordered the police to recover the woman.

Naushahro Feroze TPO Manzoor Phull and SHO Abdul Haq Korai along with a heavy contingent of police raided the house near Rind Mori and recovered Uzma.

The police arrested three persons, Azizullah Chandio, Baghar Chandio and Javed Chandio.

The police has lodged an FIR under the Hudood Ordinance.

According to the police reports, Uzma was coming from Sehwan with her father Ahmed Ali, maternal uncle Allah Dino, and mother in a bus when she felt severe pregnancy pain near the Moro bypass.
