QUETTA: The Balochistan government on Monday released funds for ongoing development projects in the province.

The approval for release of funds was given at a meeting presided over by Chief Minister Abdul Qudoos Bizenjo.

The meeting was informed that funds for new and ongoing development projects had been released and these projects would be completed in time.

The chief minister asked the additional chief secretary for planning and development to establish coordination with administrative secretaries for fast-track completion of all development projects in the province.

He also asked him to send progress reports about the projects to the chief minister secretariat.

The meeting also reviewed the Quetta development plan and decided to ensure release of required funds for the project in time.

The meeting was briefed on the proposed development projects for Pak-Afghan and Pak-Iran border areas and it was decided that for development of these areas financial assistance would be sought from the federal government on fast-track basis.
