The Sindh government has directed private schools in the province to ensure the complete vaccination of all teaching and non-teaching staff and students aged 12 and above against Covid-19.

According to a notification issued by the Sindh education department's Directorate of Inspection and Registration of Private Institutions, schools are obliged to ensure the vaccination of all of their staff and students between the ages of 12 and 18 as per the guidelines issued by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC).

Keeping in view the NCOC's instructions, the provincial health department has also directed private schools' administrations to collect copies of vaccination cards from their staff members, the notification said.

It added that action would be taken against a school's administration if any student above the age of 12 or a staff member was found unvaccinated during the course of inspection/visit by the administrative team.
