Pakistan has detected 1,293 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, marking the second straight day of more than 1,000 infections.
The national positivity rate has risen to 2.5 per cent.
The countrywide breakdown is as follows:
- Sindh: 759 cases, 2 deaths
- Punjab: 376 cases, 1 death
- Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 41 cases, 3 deaths
- Balochistan: 1 case
- Islamabad: 109 cases
- Azad Jammu and Kashmir: 7 cases
No new cases were reported in Gilgit-Baltistan.
