Army bag a gold medal

LAHORE, Nov 21: Army clinched a gold medal in the 4km team pursuit event of the 54th National cycling championship clocking 4.52.50 seconds at the Qadhafi Stadium velodrome on Monday. Sui Southern Gas grabbed the second spot clocking five minutes and Railways finished third in 5.20.20 seconds.

Wapda claimed a gold medal in 1 kilometre sprint final timing 1.10.10 seconds, Sui Southern Gas grabbed silver clocking 1.10.87 seconds and Army managed to lay its hands on a bronze timing 1.11.67 seconds.

Results:

1km team sprint: Wapda 1.10.10 sec; SSG 1.10.87 sec; Army 1.11.67 sec; Railways 1.14.42 sec; Punjab 1.19.35 sec; Sindh 1.23.45 sec.

4km team pursuit: Army 4.52.50 sec; SSG 5.00.84 sec; Railways 5.20.20 sec; Sindh 5.53.15 sec; Punjab 5.53.85 sec; NWFP 6.15.72 sec.
