The United States has donated a further five million doses of Pfizer's Covid-19 vaccine to Pakistan through the Covax facility, according to a statement issued by the US embassy.

The statement said the doses are expected to arrive on December 25 or shortly after. They bring the US government's total vaccine donations to Pakistan to over 37m.

“Getting vaccinated is the best gift you can give your loved ones this holiday season. Celebrate the coming new year by getting your jab," said US Embassy Islamabad’s Chargé d’affaires Angela P Aggeler.
