KARACHI, Nov 20: PPP Sindh President Syed Qaim Ali Shah has condemned the killing of an activist of the party in Rizvia Society, Syed Nazar Abbas Naqvi alias Babraki, by terrorists and said that the government had failed to restore peace.

Mr Shah, in a statement on Sunday, recalled that terrorists had killed PPP leaders Abdullah Murad, Munawwar Hussain Suhrawardi and Munawwar Bangash, before killing Syed Nazar Abbas Naqvi, who was a former general-secretary of the PSF, District Central, but FIR had not been registered against their killers, who, he alleged, were being protected.

The PPP leader said that his party workers could not be overawed by “the policy of terrorism being pursued by the rulers.” He said the PPP would counter the policy with the power of people.

PPP Sindh’s Information Secretary Waqar Mehdi has demanded immediate arrest of killers.

Meanwhile, Nazar Abbas Naqvi’s Namaz-i-Janaza was offered at Rizvia Society Imambargah. He was laid to rest in Wadi-i-Hussain graveyard on Super Highway. Soyem will be held on Tuesday at Rizvia Society Imambargah.
