PESHAWAR, Nov 19: Two quake-hit children were killed and three people suffered injuries when a fire broke out in a tent village at Batgram early on Saturday. Witnesses said that the children had been badly burnt by the time the fire was put out by the army personnel.

Villagers believed that the inmates had lit a candle which had caused the fire.

A source said that the deceased included two-month-old Sumaira and her three-year-old brother Atif.

Their father, Gul Taj, and a brother and a sister received burn injuries.
