The Swedish Public Health Agency has said it could impose new restrictions as early as next week to fight the coronavirus pandemic and a rising tide of infections, reports Reuters.
Sweden introduced vaccine passes for indoor events with more than 100 people at the beginning of this month and indicated additional measures might be needed to curb the spread of the virus.
“We may have to take measures already next week,” Karin Tegmark Wisell, director general of Sweden's Public Health Agency, told a news conference.
She said the measures could include general advice such as keeping a distance from other people, but gave no precise details.
