LAHORE, Nov 17: Sialkot crushed Karachi Urban (KU) by an innings 34 runs with more than a day to spare at National Stadium on Thursday. KU dismissed for 172 in the first innings did not do much better as they were bowled out for 195 in their second innings after Sialkot had posted a formidable 401 in their first innings.

The chief destroyer of KU batting was medium pacer Mohammad Asif who removed five batsmen for 70 runs in the second innings to complete a match haul of 11 for 119. Earlier in the first innings Asif took six for 49.

The only resistance from the home side came from the opener Maisam Hasnain (78) and Aminur Rehman (57).

Earlier apart from Mansoor Amjad who scored 112, Shahzad Malik struck a quick-fire 97 to prolong agony on KU bowlers.
