Pakistan has recorded less than 300 coronavirus cases for the fourth day in a row, reporting 216 infections during the last 24 hours.

According to the National Command and Operation Centre, 33,435 tests were conducted during this period. The total number of cases in the country has risen to 1,280,092. Meanwhile, the death toll rose to 28,618 after six more fatalities were reported.

The positivity rate also remained below one per cent and was recorded as 0.64pc.

Breakdown of deaths and cases reported:

  • Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 68 cases, 3 deaths
  • Punjab: 62 cases, 2 deaths
  • Sindh: 51 cases, 1 death
  • Islamabad: 25 cases
  • Balochistan: 8 cases
  • Azad Jammu and Kashmir: 2 cases
