RAWALPINDI: Another cashier lost his life during a robbery at a petrol station on I.J. Principal Road in the Westridge police limit on Monday.

This was the third incident since Wednesday in which a cashier of a fuel station has been killed.

However, the police have been unable to trace the killers of the three cashiers and bring them to justice.

The city police officer, Athar Ismail, reached the crime scene along with SP Potohar and SHO Westridge, recorded statements of the petrol station staff and collected evidence. Police said two robbers came on a motorcycle and held the cashier at gunpoint. When he offered resistance, they opened fire at him and fled with Rs12,000.

The injured was being shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital but he died on the way.

Earlier, on Sunday night, a woman was shot dead allegedly by her younger son in Sadiqabad area.

Ayub Hussain, a resident of Service Road Sadiqabad, told police that he was informed through a phone call on Sunday night that his wife had been shot and was lying in the Benazir Bhutto Hospital (BBH).

He said when he reached the hospital, he found his wife dead.

In the FIR, he said his son, Shahid Hussain, informed him that he had a brawl with his younger brother over an issue. As they were quarreling, their mother tried to pacify them.

In the meantime, his younger son took out a pistol and pointed at his brother who ran towards a room along with his mother and locked the door from inside.

He said the younger son fired gunshots at the door which hit his mother who was critically injured. The injured woman died while being shifted to the BBH.
