Six file papers for NA-189

BAHAWALNAGAR, Nov 15: Six candidates have filed nomination papers for by-election to NA-189, Bahawalnagar-II, scheduled to be held on Dec 10. The seat had fallen vacant after MNA Mumtaz Ahmad Matiana was elected district nazim in the local elections held last month.

Those who filed papers are PML-backed Chaudhry Ali Akbar, Dr Ihsan Bari, MPA Samina Naveed, Shahida Sattar Lalika, Shaikh Talat Mahmood and Ahmad Farid Chishti.

Scrutiny of the papers will be held on Wednesday and Thursday.
