Justice for all

Published November 6, 2021

THIS refers to the editorial ‘Another demolition’ (Oct 27). The owners of Nasla Tower had allotment documents from the relevant authorities, but they were swindled by the builder in connivance with some officials perhaps with the backing of some politicians.

While the builder is being punished by being ordered to refund the amount to the owners of the said housing project at the current market price, the role of collaborators in the scam has not been explored. They are going unpunished.

The encroachment of the land would not have taken place without the builder having greased a few palms. Justice demands stern action against all concerned. This naturally applies to all the encroachment cases that have been, or are being, dealt with in Karachi.
