SAHIWAL, Nov 14: Harappa police on the orders of district and sessions judge Dr Riaz Mahmood have registered a kidnap case of two women and a girl after 74 days of the incident. Eight people, including Pehalwan, Ashraf, Qutab and Latif, had kidnapped Shaheen, Munawwar Bibi and infant Sameena from Dadra Bala village on Aug 18. Shaheen, somehow, escaped from the clutches of the accused and approached the police for the registration of a case.
On refusal by the police, she filed a writ petition with the district and sessions judge, and told the court that her infant daughter had been killed by the kidnappers while Munawwar Bibi was still in their custody.
On the court orders, the police registered a kidnap case against the accused.
