ISLAMABAD: Zahir Jaffer, the alleged killer of Noor Mukadam, was forcefully removed from a sessions’ court by police on order of the judge, as he began hurling obscenities at the judge and disrupted court proceedings.

The additional sessions’ judge after terming the suspect’s act of hurling obscenities a drama ordered the police to remove him from the court.

During the hearing, almost all suspects were present in the court but shortly after the hearing, Zahir Jaffer randomly started to say the name ‘Hamza’ out loud for no particular reason. He also went on to say, “This is my court. I want to say something.”

Then again, he started shouting nonsense. The judge then asked police to remove him but the suspect hid behind the door. When police tried to remove him, he grabbed the collar of a police inspector. However, police overpowered him and removed him from the court room. The judge adjourned the hearing till Nov 10.

Earlier, during the hearing, three prosecution witnesses were cross examined by the suspect’s lawyer.

For next hearing, the court summoned medico-legal officer Dr Jahanzaib, who had conducted autopsy on Noor’s body, crime scene in-charge Imran and two other witnesses Sikandar Hayat and Sikandar Ali.

Meanwhile, another case was registered against Zahir Jaffar at Margalla Police Station under sections of 186, 353 and 325.

The case was registered in response to a complaint lodged by Inspector Mustafa Kiani, an in-charge of lockup of District and Sessions Court Islamabad.

Noor Mukadam, 27, was found brutally murdered in a house in F-7/4 on July 20 and Zahir was arrested from the murder scene under section 302 of Pakistan Penal Code on the complaint of Noor’s father.
