PO killed in ‘encounter’

LAHORE, Nov 13: A proclaimed offender was killed in an encounter with Kasur police on Sunday. Kasur DPO Ahmad Mobin said a police patrol signalled three men riding a motorcycle to stop in Bedian but they sped away. The police chased them.

On Bhoja Road, the three men opened fire which was retaliated. In the crossfire, one of them sustained a bullet injury, while the other two managed their escape. The DPO said the deceased was identified as Raza Sakka, who had been a proclaimed offender for several years and wanted by the Punjab police. He claimed the accused had been involved in 25 heinous crimes, including four murders. — Staff Reporter
