KARACHI: Youth Club Orange completed their league engagements on winning note when they defeated Central Fitness Club by a dozen goals in the Inter-Club Hockey Championship at the KHA Sports Complex on Tuesday.

The triumph helped them top Pool ‘B’ by winning all three games and storm into quarter-finals

The victory revolved around Abdul Wahab and Waris Naseer who slammed five and three goals respectively. Shahzaib Arab scored a brace while Hassan Ali and Mohsin Nawaz chipped in one goal apiece.

Youth Club Blues and Beecham Club have already booked their berths in the quarters.

Sea Hawk Club scored a solitary goal victory over Korangi Tigers Club to post their second victory in three matches. Mohammad Javaid scored the all-important goal.

In another match of academic interest, United Club carved out 3-2 victory over Baldia Club. Mohammad Owais, Marij Abuzar and Tauqeer Ali scored once for winners while Bilawal Niazi and Bilal netted one goal each for the losers.

Wednesday’s fixtures: Karachi Kings Club vs Hanif Khan Club at 3pm; Federal Club vs Cantt Combined Club at 4pm; National Club vs Karachi Tigers Club at 5pm.
