LAHORE: The city received rain on Saturday night with thunder and hailstorm decreasing the mercury significantly.

The weather turned chilly after rain in many of its parts. The rain continued till filing of this report at 10pm. There were reports of hailstorm in Gulberg, Cantonment and Defence.

The Met office recorded 35.4mm rain while the temperature of the city remained 18 degrees Celsius.

Rain-wind-thunderstorms (snowfall over the hills) is expected in Kashmir, Islamabad/ Rawalpindi, Attock, Jhelum, Chakwal, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Sialkot, Narowal, Gujrat, Mandi Bahauddin, Sargodha, Khushab, Mianwali, Bhakkar Lahore, Kasur, Sheikhupura, Nankana Sahib, Faisalabad, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh and Chiniot districts.

Isolated hailstorms are also expected during the period. Wind-thunderstorms with light rain are expected in DG Khan, Rajanpur, Multan, Khanewal, Bahawalpur, RY Khan and Khanpur districts. Isolated heavy falls are also expected in Kashmir, Gujranwala and Lahore.
