LAHORE: Muzammil Murtaza overcame giant-killer Mohammad Shoaib in straight sets to win the final of the Concepts Open National Tennis Championship at the Punjab Lawn Tennis Association courts here on Friday.
Muzammil won 6-2, 7-5 against Shoaib, who ousted top seed Aqeel Khan on Thursday, but he failed to get a second title when, pairing with brother Mudassir, he lost the doubles final 1-6, 6-7 to Mohammad Abid and Huzaifa Abdul Rehman.
The Senior 40 plus doubles title lifted by Talha Waheed and Ashar Ali Khan, who defeated Arif Feroze-Fayyaz Khan 6-1, 6-1.
