PESHAWAR, Nov 12: NWFP Governor Khalilur Rehman has asked the authorities concerned to prepare a plan for establishment of a physiotherapy centre in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas.

Speaking at a presentation ceremony on the Habib Physiotherapy Complex at the Governor’s House on Saturday, he said that they must have such a high-tech physiotherapy centre for the people of Fata as well.

Fata Secretary Mohammad Shahzad Arbab also attended the presentation given by Dr Mahboobur Rehman on the facilities available in the centre.

Dr Rehman said that the proposed centre with training facilities would be helpful in producing young physiotherapists and generating job opportunities.

He described the role of private sector and NGOs as vital in providing healthcare facilities and said that in Fata, they would extend assistance.

Dr Rehman said that the need for treatment of physical disabilities in the NWFP had been felt for a long time and with the establishment of the multi-purpose complex the patients had been facilitated.
