Ghazanfar opts out

LAHORE, Nov 11: Ghazanfar Ali has said he would not be available for Pakistan hockey team which will participate in the Champions Trophy to be hosted in India from Dec 10.

Team manager Saeed Ahmed told journalists on Friday Ghazanfar was out of country and had informed PHF through email that he was not available for the Champions Trophy.

Saeed said there were “number of alternatives” and Ghazanfar’s absence was not a problem.

Thirty-one probables are attending the camp at National Hockey Stadium from which 18-member team will be selected after trials either on Nov 18 or 19.
