Killers of inspector at large

LAHORE, Nov 11: None of the alleged killers of Inspector Naveed Saeed, who along with two other men was shot dead on Thursday, was arrested on Friday. Dismissed from service for about two years, Inspector Naveed Saeed, notorious for staging fake encounters and links with underworld, his business partner Waheed Butt and guard Maqsood Khan were gunned down on Raiwind Road in Sattukatla. Two brothers, Nadeem, alias Baba and Babar, allegedly killed the three men over a property dispute. The inspector and his men had got forcibly vacated a plot from the two brothers before their murders.

The police claimed to have raided several places for the arrest of the two brothers, but to no avail. Meanwhile, the inspector was buried in the Mian Mir graveyard after funeral prayers which were attended by a good number of people, including retired and serving police officers.
