ISLAMABAD: With the trial court scheduled to indict the accused in Noor Mukadam murder case, parents of the prime suspect have sought to set aside the order that has fixed their indictment for today.

Zakir Jaffer and Asmat Adamjee, parents of Zahir Jaffer, filed an application before the Islamabad High Court (IHC) against the order of the additional district and sessions judge (ADSJ) for their indictment.

On Oct 7, Additional District and Sessions Judge Ata Rabbani had set Oct 14 for framing charges against 12 accused in the murder case.

Parents of Zahir Jaffer contended in the petition that the trial court had rejected their request to provide copy of CCTV record, forensic report and other evidence the prosecution had planned to produce against them.

They requested the court to set aside the order of the ADSJ. The IHC single member bench will hear the petition on Thursday (today).
