QUETTA: Balochistan National Party (BNP-Mengal) president Sardar Akhtar Jan Mengal has said the provincial government is facing the present political crisis due to its own wrongdoings and its attitude with members of opposition parties.

Talking to journalists after visiting the residence of Balochistan Assembly Speaker Mir Abdul Qudoos Bizenjo in Hub, where he went to condole with Mr Bizenjo over the death of his uncle on Monday, Mr Mengal said the decision of moving the no-confidence motion against Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan Alyani was not of the PDM but of the united opposition parties.

“Removing the chief minister is a provincial matter and the provincial body of the BNP has been given the mandate to take a decision in this regard,” Mr Mengal said.

He said that the government always faced crisis due to incompetency and wrongdoings of rulers and the present government was no exception.

He said the attitude of the government was not good with the opposition parties and priority was given to outsiders who even could not win the election for the seat of a councilor.

“Elected public representatives have been ignored in development schemes and billions of rupees allocated to non-elected people,” Mr Mengal said.
